This website sells authentic Amish items produced by Amish Americans - without the use of electricity. Various Amish craftspeople were approached until appropriate products were found. This website focuses on unique items that may be difficult to find elsewhere (in retail shops) and has the mission of bringing American-made, hand-crafted items to a wider audience. In this modern age of overseas mass production, it is still possible to buy things made the old-fashioned way, with care, by hand, by Americans.

Many Amish-made goods found elsewhere are made in modern factories using mass production methods. Some may be by Amish-owned companies, in which case they would not use electricity, but would power their machines with diesel motors. Other factories, owned by the English (non-Amish), may use electricity because the Amish workers are only hired employees and do not own the means of production. We have even encountered "Amish Quilts" that were actually "Amish-styled" quilts produced in Taiwan!

The goods on this website are not made in factories, but in family barns and workshops by individual Americans and their families.
